The Sony BDP-S370 Blu-ray Disc
Player is a feature-rich and
super-versatile player at a breakthrough price point.
Its Full HD 1080p output is just the beginning. That output leaves your
BDP-S370 via the player’s HDMI 1.3 port. HDMI 1.3 signals can contain
literally a billion colors, which is far more than the human eye can
perceive. What good is that? It increases color accuracy and vividness
and smoothes out color banding that can sometimes occur even in high
definition sources. The BDP-S370 produces images that have to be seen
to be believed.
Like all advanced Blu-ray players, the BDP-S370 has an RJ45 jack so you
can plug it into your home network. That’s when the fun really begins.
Once you’re connected to the Internet you can use the BD-Live features
an increasing number of discs contain.
BD-Live discs can contain commentary, production stills and artwork
like you’ve come to expect with DVDs, but with BD-Live the information
can appear onscreen in a picture-in-picture box. With the BONUS VIEW
feature a disc can even download data from the Internet. BONUS VIEW
requires a high speed Internet connection and a USB device (like a
flash drive) with 1 GB of free space.
The BDP-S370 has audio power to match its video prowess. Its built-in
192KHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converter offers exceptional
multi-channel audio conversion. And it has powerful surround sound
processors from Dolby and DTS to create an immersive sound field you
have to hear to believe.
